If it is the kernel module then there conttroller nothing more I can do apart from hunting down a later driver and compiling it if it exists.
And what is patching the kernel?
I called asus about this problem and they said: My P5AD2-E Pre has this ethernet controller two of them actually and no matter what I’ve tried, I haven’t been able to get them to work.
