Best I can tell is that the meatal clip touched one of the soldered onto board pieces near front of first CPU and that little component fried so that board is dead. We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock. The clips are extermely hard to attach to plastic strip and cooler. I couldn’t even install the Thermalright coolers because the plastic strips must fit directly on top of motherboard and there was a component piece sticking up from motherboard just where the strips would screw down so I went back to the original heatsinks nchc-dl intel for the xeon cpus. Have one to sell?

Newer thermalright coolers with xeon brackets would probably work fine on both boards. Booted up computer and worked beautifully. These Mothrboard are 3. Please make sure that you’ve entered a valid question. Kingston was nice enough to replace all my memory sticks but that did not fix the problem so it was the board.
